Alison Gerber is a regular writer for Apartment Therapy. She is also the author of three devotional books:
1 Corinthians & Work (both from the “Theology of Work” Series),
and Bible Study and Meditation (from the “Everyday Matters for Women” series).
All are published by Hendrickson Publishers.
She writes poetry too, and her poems have been featured in the likes of Hermes, Going Down Swinging, The Best Australian Poetry, The Indigo Anthology of Australian Prose Poetry (to name a few).
In 2014 she received the Frederick Buechner award for excellence in writing. She is a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating with her Masters of Divinity. She is the pastor of Second Congregational Church, Peabody. A podcast of her sermons is accessible here.
Alison is passionate about freeing her life with junk so that she can fill it to the brim with life. She loves reading, writing, British TV, arthouse cinema, indie pop, Shakespeare, Pokemon, interior decorating and thrifting. She is originally from Sydney, Australia, but lives with her husband and two young kids in Northern Massachusetts.
